Well it's time to be terrible again.
So you want to know who is terrible?
Courtland Finnegan - I still maintain that both he and Andre Johnson should have been suspended, even though that would have killed a few of my fantasy teams. But back to Finnegan, I mean who is this guy? He gets in a fight with Johnson and then after it's over stands in the middle of the field and shouts at the Texans sidelines. Then, as he is being escorted off the field is smiling and waving to the Texans fans? Truly Terrible.
Onto more fantasy related terribleness.
Frank Gore - not that he is terrible just that he is out for the season, which makes Brian Westbrook the pickup of the week by far, so if you have number 1 waiver priority I say you use it on this one, if not put a claim on Westbrook and see if you get lucky.
Any Tennessee Titan not named Chris Johnson - so yes I did just tell you to drop Randy Moss. To me as long as Rusty Smith is the QB you want no part of this passing game.
Any Buffalo running back that is not Fred Jackson should have been dropped weeks ago.
Any New England RB that is not Green-Ellis should also go.
It's a week before the playoffs, folks. Gone are the days of holding onto someone "just in case" they breakout.
Get the terribleness off your team.

Monday Pickup
Well it's the Monday after a four day weekend and that leaves everyone in need of a pickup.
So let's get to it.
Toby Gerhart, RB Vikings - there are reasons to handcuff your studs, folks. If Adrian Peterson misses any time, you have to pick this guy up. If you are a Peterson owner you should have already had him.
Rant... Folks agree and disagree on this, but you have to handcuff your studs. Do you handcuff every number one running back in the NFL? No. Who should I handcuff? For me it's any running back that is an elite talent and had more than about 80% of the workload in the backfield. That would be who? Peterson, Chris Johnson, Michael Turner, Frank Gore, and Ray Rice. Why do you not handcuff guys like Fred Jackson and Peyton Hillis then? Because I believe that in their situation it's the player that makes the difference, not the touches. Meaning that I think Javon Ringer would be a starting fantasy RB if Chris Johnson was out. At the same time, no way you start C.J. Spiller if Fred Jackson is out.
Onto more pickups.
Matt Cassell, QB Chiefs - if you need QB help going into the playoffs here is your guy. He struggled early, but since week six he has had double digits all the way.
Maurice Morris, RB Lions - He seems to be the starter at this point, should be worthy of a flex play.
Joel Dreessen, TE Texans - He is not the best TE in the league, but you could do worse. Just watch for the return of Owen Daniels which could kill his value.
Remember for most of you this is the last week before the fantasy playoffs so get it going!

Lots of Lists
My attempt is try to do a week's worth of fantasy in one day since it's the holiday and I may or may not be able to write for Friday.
This post will consist of lots of lists that will hopefully carry you through till next week.
List of guys you should own if no one in your league does:
- Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB Bills
- Browns Defense ... Playing Carolina next week
- Shaun Hill, QB Lions
- Mike Goodson, RB Panthers - as bad as that team is, why not let him run.
- Nate Washington, WR Titans - guy opposite Randy Moss syndrome
- Brandon Jacobs, RB Giants - Since the bye week Bradshaw has stolen the show.
- Kellen Winslow, TE Bucs - only one double digit game this year, no thanks.
- Jahvid Best, RB Lions - come on, one 40 point game doesn't mean a lifetime roster spot
- Anyone on the Dolphins... yeah I am serious.
- Dallas
- New Orleans
- New England
- Detroit
- Cincinnati
- J.E.T.S (Jets Jets Jets) I typed the ( ) part really fast.
- Turkey
- Dressing
- Pumpkin Pie
- Green Beans
- Rolls
- repeat
- Tums

- Jacoby Jones oh yeah loved him too.+
- Kareem Huggins Who?

Friday Sit/Start
Week 11 - No more teams on a bye, also for most of you your trade deadline will pass in the coming week, so if you want to trade you better get to stepping.
BUF @ CIN Paul Brown Stadium 1:00 PM
With C.J. Spiller out you have to love Jackson in this game, well at least as a flex play. I think that the passing game will be decent not great. Steve Johnson should be better this week than last week, and I like him more than Lee Evans who I probably would not play this week. I think that Ryan Fitz will be decent, not great, somewhere around 12 fantasy points. I think you like the usual guys for the Bengals, T.O. should be great, Ochocinco =good, and Carson Palmer serviceable. Benson should be good this week, he also should have been good last week too, so I don't love Benson. Sorry, play him only if you must.
ARI @ KC Arrowhead Stadium 1:00 PM
I think that the Chiefs look to bounce back after last week. This means probably a bad fantasy day for most Cards. I like Fitzgerald to continue his streak of goodness, and that's about it. Hightower with Wells ailing should be decent but chances are you have someone better. For the Chiefs, it's simple, start them all. I think if you had one week to use Matt Cassell, this is the week. I also expect a big game from Charles and Bowe.
GB @ MIN Mall of America Field 1:00 PM
I look for the Packers to put the beat down on a Vikings team that couldn't care less about the rest of the season. I think Rogers and Jennings have a big game here and Brandon Jackson too. I also love the Packers "D" this week to score some big points off all of those interceptions "Grey Beard" will throw. For the Vikes, I like Peterson, Shiancoe and that's it. Minnesota will have to rely on Peterson if they want to stay in this one.
WAS @ TEN LP Field 1:00 PM
Well do we think that Vince Young is capable of scoring 50 fantasy points on the Skins? No. But I think this is a game to start all your Titans, Johnson, Young (if you need a QB), Washington (who I like better than Moss), Moss, the defense and Bironas the kicker. For the Skins I think you start Cooley and Santana Moss and stop there, the Titans defense is top five in the league against the run and the Skins backfield is a mess.
CLE @ JAC EverBank Field 1:00 PM
Over the Hillis and through the woods to Jacksonville we go.... Hillis I think will trash the Jags this week, Cleveland may or may not win, but Hillis should be great. I think that Massaquio and Ben Watson could also be decent plays, but you would have to be pretty bad off to need to play them. For the Jags be careful as the Browns are not nearly as bad a team as most think. I still love Jones-Drew in this match up however. To a lesser extent I like the pass game, Sims-Walker and Mike Thomas.
HOU @ NYJ New Meadowlands Stadium 1:00 PM
For Houston it's Foster and Johnson, and that's it. I don't love the matchup versus the Jets for Schaub and only really think that Foster and Johnson will be decent. In my opinion they are the only two Texans worth playing. Texans defense is bad... just start all your Jets will ya.
BAL @ CAR Bank of America Stadium 1:00 PM
I just can't see any way that you start anyone from the Panthers. Mike Goodson should get plenty of work, but 15 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown should be about all he is worth. I think that Steve Smith could have the same kind of 8 to 9 point fantasy day, you just don't want any part of the Panthers. I could see Baltimore being up big in this one and running a lot so I really like Ray Rice. I think that Flacco, Boldin and Todd Heap will also be good plays. I am also going to buy in on the Ravens defense to look like the Ravens defense, if not this week then never.
DET @ DAL Cowboys Stadium 1:00 PM
This one could be a tough call based on which Dallas team shows up. The thing is, the defense for Dallas is not very good regardless. So for the Lions I really like Calvin Johnson and Shaun Hill to have good games, especially because I see this one being a shootout. I also like Jahvid Best in this game, the Cowboys gave up some yards to the Giants RB last week. For the Boys I think you gotta start Witten, Dez Bryant, Felex Jones, and if you need a QB Kitna. I like Miles Austin but much less than Bryant who has emerged as Kitna's favorite target.
OAK @ PIT Heinz Field 1:00 PM
The Steelers carry the league's best defense, so you really can't be too high on any players that play them. I think though that Mcfadden and Louis Murphy will be good in the matchup. I don't love Jason Campbell to continue his streak of awesome. For the Steelers, I think it's the normal cast of guys, Big Ben, Mendenhall, Mike Wallace, and to a lesser degree Hines Ward. Ward seems to be cleared to play, but if you plan on using him I would still have another option just in case.
ATL @ STL Edward Jones Dome 4:05 PM
The Falcons are typically bad on the road, but against the Rams it's hard to look too bad. I think that this is the game where Michael Turner looks like Michael Turner. Also, Roddy White is a must start, no questions. I am really not a big Matt Ryan fan, he would probably be 10th or worse for me this week if I were ranking QBs. I like Flacco, Palmer, and Ortin all better than him. For the Rams, Steven Jackson is a must start. I think that Amendola could be a flex if you are desperate, other than that I leave the Rams alone.
TB @ SF Candlestick Park 4:05 PM
The Bucks are a lot better than you think. I think that the 49ers will struggle in this game. You still have to start Gore and Vernon Davis, but that is about it. For the Bucs I look for Josh Freeman, Mike Williams and Winslow to have a good game. I also think that LaGarette Blount will be good, not great, because Cadillac could always rob some of his value.
SEA @ NO Superdome 4:05 PM
I am not really that high on any Seahawk this week, I think that Mike Williams and Lynch could be decent flex plays, but I really don't even like them in that spot. For the Saints I think its Brees, Colston, and Lance Moore. I know that Reggie Bush is going to play, but I still don't trust the amount of work they might give him coming off the injury.
IND @ NE Gillette Stadium 4:15 PM
All I can say with any confidence is that Manning, Wayne and Jacob Tamme are must starts, after that who knows. Austin Collie is still a big question mark, Garcon has been bad as of late, and it looks like Donald Brown and Javarris James will run the ball, neither of which I like. For the Pats I like Brady, Green-Ellis, and Woodhead. I also like Branch and Tate but less than the other guys, because this game could turn into a shootout. It's a toss up between the TEs Hernandez and Gronkowski, one of them will probably have 10+ points and the other 0. Just remember any time you play a Patriot you are at the mercy of the game plan. Also, you should note that I am not a fan of Welker here.
NYG @ PHI Lincoln Financial Field 8:20 PM
Here is another one that has the potential to turn into a shootout. I really like Manning, Nicks, Bradshaw, and Manningham in this one. They are going to have to produce to win. For the Eagles, um Vick and DeSean Jackson are a nasty combo, that said I think there is no way the Gaints give them that many big plays. It should also be a good game for LeSean McCoy.
Monday Night
DEN @ SD Qualcomm Stadium 8:30 PM
I could see this game getting crazy, so I love Ortin and Lloyd for Denver. I like the other receivers too, but the problem is I have no idea which of them will be good, there are just so many. If I had to guess I would say Gaffney, but it would not surprise me to be any of the others. I like Moreno to be a good #2 RB or flex. For the Chargers if all were healthy you would love Rivers, Floyd, Tolber and Gates. I think that all the guys mentioned will play, but if you are not a gambler you may want to consider other options as this is a Monday night game so, once you commit the chances of you having a replacement for an injured guy are slim.

Terrible Tuesday
Here it goes....... Terrible Tuesday
Eddie Royal, WR Denver - too many WRs not enough passes, Royal just falls behind.
Shocker Alert.....
Steve Smith, WR Carolina - here are some numbers 2, 1, 0, 3, 6, 0, 4, those are his fantasy points since week 2. Are you really still holding on to him???
C.J. Spiller, RB Bills - One... he is hurt, Two... he is just bad.
Jahvid Best, RB Lions - One... he is bad, two... he is bad, three... see point 1, four... he has gotten worse since since you read point 1.
Any Browns WR - Browns offense.... Run Hillis, Run Hillis, Throw to a TE, Run Hillis, notice anything missing?

Monday Pickup
Well evidently it was the coaching making all the difference at Dallas. I am still a bit of a skeptic though. I think that on last night's broadcast Joe Buck put it perfectly when he said, "Now that we have seen what Dallas can do when they try, why were the players not professional enough to do that for Wade Phillips?" Great question indeed. Any thoughts?
OK, here it is, the pickup list...
If you have been under a rock and no one in your league has picked up the following, please do so.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Steve Johnson, Fred Jackson, LaGarret Blount, Aaron Hernandez (yes I know he was bad yesterday), Mike Williams Seattle, John Kitna, and Jacob Tamme.
Worth a speculative roster spot are...
Nate Washington, WR Tennessee - Did I not tell you that the guys opposite Randy Moss produce?
Mike Goodson, RB Carolina - If Williams and/or Stewart miss anymore time he could be a good option.
Rob Gronkowski, TE New England - Not a huge fan of this guy, I still think that Aaron Hernandez is the better receiving option, but if he continues to get the looks he got yesterday he may be the guy you want.

Friday Sit Start
Yeah yeah I know, I forgot to preview the Thursday night game... I will try to do better.
DET @ BUF Ralph Wilson Stadium 1:00 PM
The Lions give up the second most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Even though Fred Jackson has been mediocre so far this year, if he ever had a game to breakout in, here it is. I am not as high on Ryan Fitzpatrick and Steve Johnson this week. I think that the Lions will struggle to score based on the fact that they could be down to their 3rd QB. I see the Bills running a lot, running the clock, and getting there first "W". For the Lions I think you can say that Calvin Johnson has value and is a starter regardless of the situation. Lots of guys are high on Javhid Best this week, I am not, sorry.
CAR @ TB Raymond James Stadium 1:00 PM
I start no Panther. Oh yeah, Steve Smith could have maybe a bit of.... NO! Start no Panther. Thank me later. I love Josh Freeman, Mike Williams and the Bucks defense this week. You heard one of our other bloggers say it this week too, Carolina is bad. I'm not hatin', I'm just sayin'. To a lesser extent I like Blount but as nothing more than a Flex.
MIN @ CHI Soldier Field 1:00 PM
Da' Bears defense loves to pick on a QB's mistakes....enter "Old Grey Beard". I think Peterson and Shiancoe will have good days, I like Harvin but much less than the other two guys. I am for sure not buying "the Beard" to repeat from last week. For the Bears their defense and Matt Forte are the only two I trust. I see Cutler being decent, but I like Favre better than him, that should really tell you something.
HOU @ JAC EverBank Field 1:00 PM
Who's going to David Garrard's house with me after the game??? Ok maybe that was a stretch, but here is what I say. I am taking over 28 fantasy points for Garrard in this game. I also love Sims-Walker, Mike Thomas, and Marcedes Lewis too. I like MJD, but a bit less because it will be so easy for them to throw. Also, I see this one being a shootout, so that's good news for all fantasy players involved. For the Texans I love Arian Foster and Andre Johnson. I think after last week Andre has finally returned to form. I like Shaub in this matchup, even though he has been less than awesome this year.
TEN @ MIA Sun Life Stadium 1:00 PM
Randy Moss plays for who??? I think with the addition of Moss, Chris Johnson's value goes up (if it could get any higher). Defenses will have to key on Moss which makes Johnson, and Nate Washington's value huge. Nate Washington is a guy you should pickup and sit on for a while, just call it a hunch. I like Vince Young in this matchup as well. It should be a good day for the Titans. This will be a tough game for the Fins. I cannot recommend any Miami RB, I don't like Henne either. If you have Brandon Marshall you start him, and start Davone Bess if your in a PPR.
NYJ @ CLE Cleveland Browns Stadium 1:00 PM
I would start Petyon Hillis against a 10 foot high brick wall. Now that you know that, you should also know that he is the only Brown I like this week and I don't love him in this matchup. I guess Ben Watson could be an interesting play if you need a TE, but the Jets defense is tough, real tough. For the Jets it's easy, start everyone remotely involved in the Offense except Cotchery. The Browns D is nowhere as good as they looked last week. Just wait, you will see.
CIN @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium 1:00 PM
You have to love Cedric Benson in this game. The Colts run defense is bad, it is Benson's time to shine. I also I like T.O. in this game, and I know at some point Ochocinco will breakout, could it be this week? I think that Palmer could be decent this week, but chances are you have someone better. For the Colts you start Manning, Wayne, Donald Brown (the only Healthy running back), and Jacob Tamme. Tamme should be owned and started in your league this week, if he is not... you know what you have to do.
KC @ DEN Invesco Field at Mile High 4:05 PM
Welcome the best running back duo in football and the worst run defense. I am all in on Jammal Charles and Thomas Jones, you should be too. I also like Bowe, Moeaki, and Cassel in this game, because you can't run all the time. On the Denver side of the ball it is hard to trust anyone. Moreno should have a solid game, apart from that Orton and Lloyd are the only other two Bronc's I want.
STL @ SF Candlestick Park 4:15 PM
Hey look the 49ers still play football... who knew. For them it's easy, start Frank Gore and Vernon Davis... BOOM. For the Rammers I really like Steven Jackson in this game and really no one else. I can see the Rams rushing the ball a ton, playing keep away and winning 10 to 3... let's see how close I get.
DAL @ NYG New Meadowlands Stadium 4:15 PM
The Giants are playing the best football in the NFL right now, I see them destroying the Cowboys. Do you really want to start someone from Dallas? Yes. I see Dallas being down big, needing to throw, and Miles Austin and Dez Bryant having value. I think that Kitna could be decent, but will probably throw so many interceptions that it ruins his value. For the G-men, Bradshaw. That is all I need to say. Remember the beat down the Giants put on Seattle last week? I see every player coming within a few points of last week's numbers again this week. In short, start your Giants.
SEA @ ARI University of Phoenix Stadium 4:15 PM
Welcome back, Larry Fitzgerald!! To me I think that Fitz has proven that he warrants an every week start. Apart from Fitz, Beanie Wells is the only other Cardinal you want. For Seattle I think that Mike Williams and Marshawn Lynch should be decent, but I really don't love any Seahawk this week.
NE @ PIT Heinz Field 8:20 PM
You want know who your must starts for the Pats are??? Tom Brady, Aaron Hernandez, and Danny Woodhead. Not even Wes Welker??? No. The Pats are much more of a running team than they have been in years past, but against the Steelers you don't do much running. I see another big "L" for the Pats here. The Pats defense is pretty bad, so you gotta love all your Steelers here. I'm not that high on Heath Miller, but other than that I think your Steelers are "safe" plays.
Monday and Game of the Week
PHI @ WAS FedEx Field 8:30 PM
This is a big divisional game, for each of these teams, and I love the Eagles in this matchup. Vick, McCoy, Jackson, and Maclin should all be big in this game. Celek is a no-go. In a Mike Vick led offense, in fact, I think that his value is gone and you should consider dropping him and picking up another TE. Hernandez, Moeki, and Tamme are all way better options. On to the Skins... I like Santana Moss and Ryan Torain, Boom thats it. I don't trust anyone else for the Skins this week.

Wednesday Overtime Excitement
What a great week last week in NFL football! You got to love so many games going to overtime and finishing in such excitement as they did. Unfortunately for me I was not able to watch a lot of the games because I was actually in attendance to probably the worst game of the week. That’s right I was there when the Saints demolished the Panthers, which I have went ahead and renamed the Cougars because they just need to start over due to their awfulness, and we all know there was no excitement in attendance at that game. However there is a lot of excitement with a few players in the NFL and in the following paragraphs I would like to discuss some of the players that I think didn’t have a lot of fantasy excitement coming into the season but have been exciting and dependable and one player that has pretty much been a bust but now may be in a place of excitement.
The first player on the excitement list is Peyton Hillis or aka Cleveland’s New King! This man simply went off last Sunday and made the Pats look like a fool. He rushed 29 times for 184 yards averaging 6.3 yards a carry and scoring 2 touchdowns. He also had 3 receptions for 36 yards the longest one being for 29 yards. This was no break out performance either take a gander at this seasons stats 644 total rush yards averaging 80.5 yards a game and 7 touchdowns. Not only did Denver screw themselves when they traded Hillis for Brady Quinn they also screwed you as fantasy player. Why you ask? I will tell you why draft a man that was just traded to Cleveland from Denver for Brady Quinn! Denver simply devalued him plain and simple. Thanks for nothing Denver.
The next guy on the list is Mike Hart. You have to have Hart to play the game of football and this kid has got it in his name. Mike Hart was out in this week’s game in Philly due to injury but with everybody on Indy’s roster now hurt I feel like his value is about to sky rocket. His stats for the season are not overwhelming impressive but like I said I think his stock is about to rise and he will definitely be a future fantasy football star. Harts stats for the year are 177 rush yards averaging 29.5 yards a game. In his last game against the Texans he rushed 12 times for 84 yards averaging 7 yards a carry. I will definitely be looking for him in next year’s draft.
Up next is Devon Bess which just so happens to be Miami’s Bess-t! Devon Bess has been the biggest benefactor of the Brendan Marshall trade. Defenses double cover Marshall leaving Bess to reap the awards. Bess has had 451 reception yards averaging 56.4 yards a game and 3 touchdowns. He is even a nicer fit in a PPR league because he gets a lot of looks. Last week he had 5 receptions for 50 yards with the longest reception being a 22 yarder!
The next guy on the list has had a lot of excitement this year but unfortunately it has all been off the field. However I think that may all be getting ready to change for Randy Moss. The Tennessee Titans may have been the only team to turn in a waiver claim to pick him up but that just so happens to be the place where he may fit the best. On a side note I hope he does fit well with the Titans because I fear that if it doesn’t work Randy Moss will become the NFLs AI. With Kenny Britt being out for an undisclosed number of weeks Moss will be an immediate help to the Titans and hopefully your fantasy team. I believe that Moss will put up big fantasy numbers as a Titan.
I would like to send out a huge congratulation to Rodney, the brains behind this blog, on his family’s new addition in Isaac Samuel (pictured below)! I believe little Isaac will also get the Cowboys back on track!
NFL Games To check out this week:
Baltimore at Atlanta 8:20 pm EST NFL Network – First Thursday night game of the year! Always nice to have another night of football!
Tennessee at Miami 1:00 pm EST CBS – Moss’s third debut in one season!
Dallas at NY giants 4:15 pm EST FOX – First game post the Wade Phillips era. Was he the problem?

Terrible Tuesday
In this installment of Terrible Tuesday, I will expose 4 players whom I have played against in recent weeks. When I have seen these guys on my opponent's team I shout for joy because I know they are terrible....
C.J. Spiller, RB Bills - Why drop him - Bills are a pass first team, aside from that when they do run Fred Jackson does it. Oh, and Quniton Ganther is signing with the Bills. Spiller could be RB 3 on that team.
Cadillac Williams, RB Bucks - The Caddy has run out of road. LaGarret Blount is that new number one guy and Caddy is out. Sure he may have a decent game here or there, but I just don't ever see playing him.
Marion Barber, RB Cowboys - As bad as Dallas is are you suprised??? Com'on, fire Wade already!
Josh Cribbs, WR Browns - Cribbs really has no role in the offense, sure he is a nice guy I follow him on twitter, but for fantasy leave him alone. Peyton Hillis is the only offense the Browns have.

Monday Pickup, don't we all need one?
Well if anyone needs a Monday pickup it's me. What a tiring week last week was... a week in the hospital, with my wife and new son means not a lot of sleep for this guy. Maybe one day I will get some good sleep again. Until then I will be in need of a Monday Pickup.
Who needs to be on your team???
Matthew Stafford, QB Lions - Don't run out and get him just yet, because he did leave yesterday's game with a shoulder injury, but if he is healthy you need to own him. Chances are someone in your league drafted him and then dropped him when he was out with his injury. He has had 24 fantasy points each of the last 2 weeks.
Jacob Tamme, TE Colts- he has stepped in and stepped up. No one could replace Dallas Clark, but he has done a good job trying. 12 and 16 points since Clark went out. He is the number one TE pickup on any board for me at this point.
Steve Johnson, WR Bills - needs to be owned in every league, he has had ups and downs, but will typically give you a decent fantasy game at minimum.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB Bills - what is it going to take people? He is owned in only 33% of leagues.
Brandon Pettigrew, TE Lions - his value goes up and down depending on if Stafford misses more time, but he is a solid option regardless. I like him 3 on most TE pickups below Tamme, and Aaron Hernandez.
As far as a good pickup here is one that gets me going ....

The Crazy World of Fantasy Football!
In this crazy addiction we call fantasy football fun I find it incredibly frustrating to set a good solid roster. This year more than any other year I have played I go to set my roster and I see that I have a player projected to score like 15 points therefore he is set to start, but when it is all said and done he got me a super dooper 5 points. There is nothing like when you log into your fantasy football manager on Sunday morning and you notice that you are projected to beat your opponent by 20 points you feel powerful and dominating. Then when Sunday rolls around you lost by 40 points and you feel disgusting and somewhat dirty. In the following paragraphs I will go in detail why I believe this crazy world of fantasy football is so frustrating.
My first example will be the quarter back position. Drew Brees last year in my opinion was the quarter back to have he consistently put up very favorable numbers week after week. So this year I am sure that many people got him as soon as they could this year in the draft. However he has probably been one of the most inconsistent qbs this year. So when you were drafting and you saw the opportunity to jump on Brees you went for it and you thought to yourself “oh yeah domination in the qb position” but really not so much his inconsistency has probably been more harm than good in some instances. I for one am lucky enough to have Phillip Rivers as my quarterback, but even with him, who has put up solid numbers all year for me, his team’s performance has been lackluster. Lucky for me I don’t care how the Chargers do I just care how Rivers performs, but that is my point what “good” data can you use to set a solid roster.
The position I find the most frustrating is the running back position. Running backs are crucial in almost every fantasy football league but they are so hard to predict. Everybody knew that Chris Johnson was going to be the overall number 1 pick in the majority of the leagues. I also think that everybody knew that CJ wasn’t going to have the kind of year this year that he had last year. Defenses had the whole off season to strategize ways to stop Johnson but if you had the number 1 pick in your draft you had to get him based on his potential. Don’t get me wrong Chris Johnson has been more than productive for you if you are lucky enough to have him but his numbers are not like last years and last year you could have picked up as a free agent. I was big on Shonn Greene this year before the draft I thought he is going to be the man for the Jets. My thought process was LT is done and Greene is going to be the feature back. I actually passed on LT in the draft in hopes to get Greene and I ended up with neither which in my case produced crap for the running back position. Looking back I am not that upset that I missed out on Greene but boy was I wrong on LT!
Although I guess if fantasy football was easy it would lose its appeal. By playing fantasy football we, the mere mortals of the world, get to see a very small insight of what it is like to be a NFL manager. This weekly frustration that we have of setting the best possible roster to win our weekly match is what the real NFL managers face on a daily basis. NFL managers also can’t project what an individual player will do no more than an ESPN analyst or you and me. The frustration is the luring factor to fantasy football because you make it your mission to figure it out better than anybody else and dominant your league. Terrible Tuesday
My Tuesday will not be terrible... more on that later.
Here is a list of guys you need to send to the house...
Johnathan Stewart - I've been waiting on this one for a while.... Stewart got the start this weekend against the Rams, he carried the ball 14 times for 30 yards???? Nope, sorry, if you have no competition in the backfield, carry the ball 14 times, play against the Rams, can still can't get it done, I have no use for you.
CJ Spiller -with the Bills passing more and using Fred Jackson so much, I can't imagine a situation where you would start Spiller.
Leon Washington - seriously, did I just read he is owned in 47% of leagues?
Dallas running backs - ok, that might be a little harsh, but really are you every going to start one and feel really good about it??
Bernard Berrian - nope, he's not the guy...
Tim Hightower - there is this Wells guy, he starts in Arizona.

Monday Pickup
Well it's Monday and it's time for a little pickup.
Here is a list of guys you want...
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB Bills - if you need QB help he is the number one guy. He has had a minimum of 14 fantasy points since taking over in week 3.
John Kitna, QB Dallas - he has had double digit points both weeks in relief of Tony Romo. He has good weapons in Dallas, you could do worse.
LaGarrette Blount, RB Tampa Bay- I don't expect 22 fantasy points each week, but he did get 22 rushes to Cadallac's four.
Nate Washington, WR Tennessee - I am not really high on this guy after one week, but if Kenny Britt misses time, then you may have something here.
Danny Woodhead, RB/WR Patriots - the Pats seem to love him, so you should too. Just remember with New England they seem to ride the guy with the hot hand, but you could do worse than Woodhead.
Fred Jackson, RB Bills - he's yet to get in the endzone, but this man rushes 20 times per game... I will take it.
Steve Johnson, WR Bills
Lee Evans, WR Bills
Josh Freeman, QB Tampa Bay
